He watched her, but never knew her. Until thanks to a chance encounter, he became her savior…
The attraction between them was undeniable. Yet the past he’d worked so hard to overcome, and the future she’d put so much faith in, threatened to tear them apart.

Only together could they fight the pain and guilt, face the truth—and find the unexpected power of love.

This book was definitely an easy read! If you're looking for a standalone book to read after a huge book hangover (or just in general), then look no further! This book kicks into gear in the first chapter. First!!! It captured my attention so quick, I finished this book in less than 24 hours. To be specific, I stayed up until 4am to finish... and had to be at work at 8am. I regret nothing!
It wasn't just your average "Oh, there's a great looking guy, and a great looking girl, now lets have them walk by eachother and fall in love". Jacqueline and Lucas meet in a completely unexpected way and I think it sets the tone for their relationship throughout the book. The want, desire, lust, love, angst... you feel it. You quickly build a relationship with the characters and you keep reading because you're curious. You just want more!
I also loved how this was a slow building romance... Not the kind where the couple jumps straight into the sack and you're left reading non-stop sex scenes (hey... we all enjoy it - but sometimes it's a bit too much!). Both of the main characters were witty, fun, and just down right sexy. Especially Lucas! The way that Jacqueline explains his tattoos during her own curiosity... gah! Hello... I'm losing my mind over here!
The only reason why I deducted a little bit was because I was somewhat frustrated with how Jacqueline dealt with her situation. I wanted to reach into the book and give her a good smack to knock some sense into her. Overall, I understood her. It was great to watch her as well as Lucas grow throughout the book.  I  completely envy their relationship!

OH! The ending of the book!!!! Left me 100% content and smiling like a dang fool; it was simply just enough.

“Choosing to be with you isn’t a difficult decision, Jacqueline”.
