I'm sorry for this mess!!! This will (HOPEFULLY) be up and running by the middle of April

Review: Wicked Sexy Liar by Christina Lauren

When three college besties meet three hot guys in Vegas, anything can—and does—happen. Book Four in the New York Times Wild Seasons series that began with Sweet Filthy Boy (the Romantic Times book of the year that Sylvia Day called “a sexy, sweet treasure of a story”), Dirty Rowdy Thing, and Dark Wild Night.
For two people ambivalent about dating and love, they sure get naked around each other an awful lot . . .
London Hughes is very content to surf daily, tend bar, hang out with her group of friends, and slowly orient herself in the years after college. Everything’s going great and according to the non-plan.
But when a wave knocks her for a loop one morning, then Luke Sutter’s flirtatious smile knocks her for another that evening, she veers slightly off course…and into his path. Sure, he’s a total player, but the Why not—it’s only one night is a persistent voice in her ear.
For his part, Luke’s been on hookup autopilot for so long that he rarely ever pauses to consider what he’s doing. But after an amazing time with London, he realizes that he hasn’t been moving on from a devastating heartbreak so much as he’s been drifting to wherever—and whomever—the current takes him. With London he wants more.
Every relationship involves two people…plus their pasts. And as much as she enjoys her fling with Luke, when London learns about his past—more specifically, who’s in it—everything becomes the brand of complicated she strives to avoid. It’s up to Luke then to change some things in order to try and ensure he’s not something she’ll outright avoid as well.

Hello Lovelies! ...for those who don’t know me yet..I am a HUGE fan of Christina Lauren..like top three favorite authors list...for sure! So with that being said, you can probably guess that I devour ANYTHING and everything they put out like an eager little book dragon! Now just because I am an adoring fan does not mean I think everything they put out is a 5 star, but I am nothing if not dedicated so I ALWAYS read their stuff....and I usually give it a 5 star. Whatever. I LOVE THEM!!

Wicked Sexy Liar is the fourth book in the Wild Seasons series and follows London and Luke (so cute right?), two characters we know from the previous books...but we don’t really know them..ya know?

London, is Lola’s (book three) roommate and Luke is Mia’s (book one) ex-boyfriend. One we haven’t heard such great things about….because girls. So while we do have a general idea of who these characters are, we never really got to get to know them in the previous books, so it was kind of like a fresh start, which was a nice break away from the rest of the really tight-nit series.

I LOVED the characters in this one, and like most CLo books, this one was dual POV which is awesome!-Seriously...I LOVE dual POV. London is this laid back surfer bartender with a brain and no real plan or rush and I think that's awesome! She kicks ass at coding and computers but it doesn’t run her. She’s living free...free and lonely...lonely but not looking. Until maybe...she is looking. I think it just takes her awhile to figure out WHAT she is looking for….? Luke is this hot, hardworking and fun loving guy who....likes to have fun of the no-strings attached variety. Which I think is all well and good...I mean he’s young and getting ready to buckle down at law school, so why not have some carefree fun and sow some wild oats? Until maybe….it’s not so free fun loving anymore and has kind of turned a little icky?

What all starts out as a fun one night stand slowly grows into something a little stronger with each encounter. And BOY! I just LOVE it when the man gets all soft and mushy FIRST and has to really work hard to convince the lady that he’s a person of substance and not just a revolving door. That he can be someone he thinks she’ll find worthy. It’s always so sickly sweeeeetttttt. That was this book.

London knows her feelings for Luke are shifting in a way she’s not entirely comfortable with, and Luke after a looonnnggg time realzies the source behind her hesitancy and the strong image he has unintentionally put off. Not to mention they kind of have to deal with this whole, him being her friends LONG TIME/FIRST LOVE kind of Ex-LOVA….whatever. My take on this is….Mia is MARRIED to someone else. It was a long time ago. London does not know this information until feelings and things have already started. And she’s not even Mia’s close friend-She's like the “outsider” of the group. So..yeah that was really a non-issue for me from the beginning.

This conflict is so laid back and “un-stressful” and I LOVE that. I didn’t have that HEARTBREAKING ache for these guys, but there was enough dramarama to keep me interested and engaged. And as per usual Clo does not disappoint in the steamy sexy times department. I swear someone needs to give them an award, because they tell it to PERFECTION. Just the right amount of steam and tension and LUST clouds floating around without being overly detailed or graphic (like using unsavory descriptions words, which is a HUGE peeve of mine)-that being said this book is STILL not for little hormonal YA teens so STAY AWAY wee ones! Because I said.

So for those of you who haven’t started any CLo books yet, GET ON IT! I swear they are really REALLY GOOD! For those who are reading and were let down by Lola & Oliver’s story (Book 3, Dark Wild Night) this book more than compensates! I won't even get into that one right here and now, but Wicked Sexy Liar is a superb light hearted love story with humor and steam and minimal heartache. I loved it.

Also, I had to hunt down my signed special edition, and after 4 Targets and 20 minutes of hold time, I did in fact HAVE IT! And it was so worth the chase because in it we get the Not-Joe-Not-So-Short-(but-it-really-is-to-short)-Short. I LOVED IT! It was REALLY quick, but such a CUTE paring. I don't want to give it away, but I LOVED getting closure and into the head of his new love interest! Not-Joe (which, we DO find out his name officially, if you didn't catch the hints in book three...but I'm not telling!) is such a kind hearted pure free spirit. He puts it out there just how it is and I love that. It's not a persona or a facade...that is HIM. And he's wonderful. I'm hoping I can use my Jedi mind trick on CLo to get MORE MORE MORE! Cmon guys...just a little bit more???
